Our dog of the month is Edgar. Edgar was rescued from a public shelter in Bosnia. He has recently arrived in the UK and is settling into his foster family. He is an older dog, fully sighted and is loving and caring. He is very mild and gentle with everything he meets. He would make a great companion and would suit a quiet home.
We are delighted that the following dogs have found their forever homes:
Win a portrait of your pet by Ena's Animal Art!
First prize: a one of a kind pastel portrait of your dog or cat worth £45

We urgently need foster homes to enable us to bring the most vulnerable dogs over to the UK. If you have space in your home to give a BDRUK dog a chance to learn what it is to live in a loving home then please get in touch by email at foster@bdruk.org. For more information about fostering please read our foster page at https://www.bdruk.org/fostering
BDRUK are fundraising to bring our first ever Chinese dog to the UK. Shuang Xi (Happy) is currently in the Bo Ai Animal Shelter in China. He is almost two years old and has spent all his life in the shelter. Happy was born blind and left at a vet hospital in Chengdu before the founder of the Bo Ai shelter rescued him.He has no chance of adoption in China so we are raising money for his plane ticket to the UK. Please see https://www.bdruk.org/donate/appeal for more information.
We would love more volunteers on board to help us continue our work. If you have a few hours a week to help get updates from rescuers, update dog albums, fundraise or take photos of our foster dogs then please get in touch via info@bdruk.org or see our volunteer page.
We have some lovely new badges available. They are just £2.50 plus 75p for postage (UK only, for overseas purchase please contact fundraising@bdruk.org for shipping costs) and all proceeds go to helping blind and partially sighted dogs.
