Silki

Silki is a sweet blind older gentleman (born approximately 2016) and weighs 7kgs. This loving little soul could be someone's perfect companion, and deserves to find his safe haven.

Silki was found scared and roaming the streets of Skopje, Macedonia. It’s likely he was just abandoned and left to fend for himself. Luckily he was rescued and taken to the public shelter with the hope that he may have a chance to being adopted into a loving home.  Unfortunately, dogs with special needs are often overlooked and so far no one has shown any interest in this gorgeous little one. The shelter conditions are not a great place for an older blind dog, and although he has shown immense resilience Silki has now been taken into a foster home.

Silki has settled quickly into a foster home and is already house trained and lead trained. He is just adorable. Silki is a friendly boy who loves a fuss and enjoys being around people. He’s very happy to cuddle up on the sofa and maybe dreams of being an adored lapdog.

Silki is probably blind due to cataracts and has lost a few teeth, but is in good health. He is good with other dogs. Due to his lack of sight he does need a gentle proper introduction to other dogs. Silki hasn’t been tested with cats yet.

Silki is looking for a calm, quiet home where he can feel safe. An understanding patient person/family who is ready to spend time with him giving him the care and attention he really deserves and may never have had. He really enjoys human affection and company and is waiting to be your best friend.
